Pigeon Lake - Brad's Place
Harold's Report:
Blaine and I had a great day at Pigeon. I was on my 6.1 and my 99 liter board. Blaine was on his foil, first with a 4.7 and then with a 6.1.
Three hours of good wind, strong enough to set up the mid lake swells and strong enough to allow me to power around them. I went home smiling.
Blaine really looks solid on his foil. No problem with jibes and he’s very close to planing jibes. Fun to watch him progress. Kent, watch out!
Brad – thanks for allowing us to use your place. We saved a beer for you, but you’ll have to collect it on another day.
Alberta Beach
No report - but I see from Strava that Mike was kiting.
Slave Lake
No report - but I see from Strava that Gerry was out on this 6.6 hucker and Roberts. Looks like he also had an overpowered session on his 6.0 flyer and foil.
Dried Meat Lake - Tillicum Beach
Ted's Report:
I had a good session on my 6.0 Flyer, then 7.0 Flyer, then my 6.0 Flyer again. Unfortunately, I can't upload my track as the Garmin servers are down, so I don't know if anyone will believe that I was foiling or not - although I do have some photos, thanks to Louise. The weeds are becoming more of an issue. Once out, it is not terrible, but I did have to stop every few reaches to clear what was usually just a single reed from the mast of my foil. Good sail - about 22km in total - that's 44 jibes - some better than others....
